ABOUT

What is hackCWRU?

Who are We?

HackCWRU is a student-run club that organizes Cleveland’s premier hackathon hosted at Case Western Reserve University. This academic year, around 300 budding engineers, designers, and "hackers" from Universities and high schools alike will come together and showcase their skills in CWRU’s Sears Think[box] - the largest open-access innovation center at any University in the world.

Our attendees develop a wide range of projects, from web applications to hardware-based solutions to solve problems at the enterprise and consumer level.

How is our Hackathon Organized?

To showcase the talent and problem-solving capabilities of our attendees, we implement a track
system for our event. The projects our hackers develop will fall in one or more of the following tracks:

  1. Fintech

  2. Healthtech

  3. Gaming

  4. Maker

Each track will also be headlined by a track host, for whom the track prize is named.

Logistics

This is NOT an overnight event. Participants will be able to work on their projects at home if they choose during the weekend.

Workshops (ref. Event Schedule) are encouraged, but not required!
